Through my time in Springfield I have helped open the door for progressive change that was unthinkable for generations. With the cost of living soaring, the time is now to build on that record of success to deliver critical support for the working families who need it. That’s why Theresa is not only running for re-election as State Representative of the 24th district, but is also running to become the Democratic committeeperson of the 12th ward so she can protect voter access to the ballot box and increase voter turnout to make sure our community’s voices are heard.
Why I’m Running
Our communities deserve strong schools, safe neighborhoods, access to affordable healthcare, good jobs, and tax relief that puts the middle class first and requires millionaires and billionaires to pay their fair share. I’m fighting to make that progressive vision of the future a reality.
In order to advance that positive vision for the future in the face of growing threats to our democratic institutions, I decided to also run for 12th Ward Committeeperson this year. As committeeperson, I will defend your right to vote and ensure that your voice is heard at the ballot box.
The 12th Ward is a strong immigrant community that historically has not seen an investment in its democratic institutions. You deserve easy access to your polling place, language accessibility, and timely information about how you can register. As committeeperson, I commit to providing the 12th Ward with everything you need to practice your right to vote.
